I am part of an informal group of photographers, photographic impressionists in Lambertville, NJ. I started to take 35mm photos on my manual Pentax K-1000 1n 1982. I learned the basics of composition & light manipulations. I never did develop my own photos. I lost touch with photography for many years resuming with a digital camera (Olympus Camedia 3 mega pixal zoom) in 2000. Through Bob & Catherine Dechico I learned of Photoshop and began to take courses to learn of it's possibilities in manipulating images. I graduated to an Olympus Camedia C8080 WZ in 2004. I have since joined the full DSLR movement with an Olympus EVOLT 520.
I am a member of NAPP (National Assn of Photoshop Professionals) and regularly use their wide array of computer based tutorials & trainings as well as face to face trainings on the east coast of the US.
I have shown in a small variety of settings locally (JB Klein Gallery 2006,07,08;The Eagle Diner Gallery 2007,09; Bucks Coffee Shop Gallery 2007,08,09 as well as here on my ARTSPAN website.
I prefer old and decaying subjects (not human), historically significant places and land & seascapes. I am extremely grateful to Bob, Catherine, George Golia & Roy Freedle for their generosity & gentle sharing of feedback & suggestions about my work.
